The Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing complex financial models and analyses in order to support financial planning and operational control. Additional responsibilities will include conducting studies to analyze complex financial and operational actions and prepare recommendations for policy, procedure, control or action, analysis of financial information to determine present and future financial performance, identification of trends and recommendations for financial and operations improvements. The Financial Analyst will also be required to assist in the development of budget, planning and other financial documents and reports.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following capabilities and experience:

  • Cost Accounting/Project Costing/Margin Analysis
  • Assists in development of monthly Forecast, Annual budget process, Strategic plans
  • Analyzes cost center detail and explains variances
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly and year-to-date financial reports; to be distributed to management
  • Assist with workers comp reporting and audits
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliation
  • Participation in the preparation and enhancement of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages for internal and external purposes
  • Preparation of financial due diligence packages
  • Assist with month end and year end close
  • Forecasting and Budget Modeling
  • Budget accountability
  • Tracking and monitoring of results
  • Risk and opportunity management and execution
  • Other ad hoc analysis and other tasks as required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex and diverse environment with multiple and changing priorities in demanding situations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years combined experience in accounting or financial analysis
  • Previous experience strongly desired in Financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
  • Exceptional ability to communicate clearly, effectively and in a timely manner
  • Ability to identify, document and recommend solutions to complex business problems with accuracy
  • Strong analytical, organizational and requirements gathering skills to determine functional and cross-functional requirements, able to analyze and solve problems
