Iron Maiden has been a heavy metal tour de force for nearly 40 years and counting. They unleashed a string of platinum or gold US records in the '80s and '90s with virtually no US radio or MTV exposure. They opened new touring frontiers in Poland and Russia (1985), South America (1992) and the Middle East (2007). They logged 50,000 miles in 45 days using their own plane (Ed Force One), piloted by lead singer Bruce Dickinson, during their Somewhere Back in Time world tour and turned the effort into an award-winning film (Flight 666). The band has “ground-breaking” coded into its DNA… and they show no sign of letting up. Iron Maiden recently released their sixteenth studio album, “The Book of Souls,” to widespread critical acclaim and commercial success (the record topped the album charts in 24 countries.) The band recently launched “The Book of Souls Tour” and Pyrotek is honored to be, once again, collaborating in the staging of these “over the top” shows. From the flaming statuettes and CO2 cauldron that dramatically open the performance during “If Eternity Should Fail” or the burst of fireballs and red flame effects during the opening chords to “Powerslave”, to the flaming columns that punctuate the most hellishly driving moments of “Book of Souls” and “Number of the Beast” to actually causing Eddie’s head to explode during the seminal “Iron Maiden”, we’ve brought the full range of our arsenal of pyrotechnic and flame effects to bear to help create a spectacular live show worthy of this legendary band.
