Scott oversees the broader strategic direction of Pyrotek, with a focus on ensuring that the company’s products, services, facilities and general operations continuously evolve in a manner which respects the trust Pyrotek’s clients place in it as a partner in the great challenge of bringing live events to life. Prior to the acquisition of Pyrotek by Scott and his business partners, in addition to holding a life-long passion for live entertainment, Scott held a variety of senior roles in private equity, general management, marketing, distribution, legal and risk management.
Reid leads the special effects design process at Pyrotek, using his many years’ of experience, in both conceiving impactful moments and executing them safely and efficiently, to help clients realize the fullest extent of their vision for a show or event. Reid has been with Pyrotek for more than 25 years and has spent much of that time working with a wide variety of artists and productions including Metallica, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, P!nk, Florida Georgia Line, Rascal Flatts, Grammy Awards, ACM Awards, General Motors, Phantom of the Opera and many, many more. Reid is based in Pyrotek’s Nashville office.
Marie works with clients in the New York area and beyond. She’s an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience assisting clients with their special effects needs ranging from theatre applications to stadium spectacles. Upon joining Pyrotek, she has served as project manager for a wide variety of artists, including Bruno Mars, Jennifer Lopez, Iron Maiden, Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias to name a few. Marie has had the opportunity to work on iHeart Music Festivals, the MTV Video Music Awards as well as various other special events. Marie is a graduate of Northwestern University.
Josh is based in our Nashville office, where he is part of our project management team. Josh comes to Pyrotek with 15 years of experience in outdoor fireworks and large-scale pyrotechnics. Josh is also a licensed technician in proximate and flame effects. His notable contributions to Pyrotek include working with clients such as Five Finger Death Punch, Florida Georgia Line, Morgan Wallen, Fall Out Boy, and the Nashville Predators. His role as Project Manager is to collaborate from start to finish with our clients and staff, to ensure a successful show for everyone involved.
Kevin is based in Pyrotek’s Toronto office, where he acts as project manager for a variety of clients in relation to concert tours, award shows and other events. With over 15 years of experience, Kevin is a veteran of live event special effects, having worked with a wide array of artists and producers, including Paul McCartney, Metallica, Rihanna, Drake, Kanye West, Green Day, the Grammy Awards, the American Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards and many more. Kevin is a licensed Special Effects Technician for movies, television, concert tours and theatre events.
As a product Specialist, Victor is responsible for bringing technical expertise to the process of delivering client service as well as the development of new products and technologies. With over 20 years of experience, Victor is an expert in special effects materials and products and specializes in laser technologies. Victor has worked with a wide array of artists and producers, including Paul McCartney, Metallica, Rihanna, Drake, Kanye West, Green Day, the Grammy Awards, the American Music Awards and the Billboard Music Awards.
Brian Panther is our Product and Technical Support Manager and leads our Lititz, PA facility. Brian’s extensive regulatory experience helps our logistics and operations departments with compliance and his extensive experience in research and development of new special effects and electronic firing systems helps support our road crews, product development, and training teams. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Pyrotechnics Association and is a principal member of the NFPA Technical Committee on special effects. Brian has designed and produced effects for countless live events and has toured with bands such as Aerosmith, Godsmack, Nickelback, and the London symphony.
Karl Seymour is Pyrotek’s Director of Facility Operations, based in our Las Vegas office. Karl brings many years of hands-on special effects operator experience, having been the Lead Special Effects Technician on a number of Cirque du Soleil shows and many sports engagements including NBA regular season events and all-star games. Karl also spent several years working in the special effects department on cruise ships. Karl’s multi-faceted production and technical experience has allowed him to contribute to a number of custom effects applications for Pyrotek including Fall Out Boy, Iron Maiden, Jonas Brothers, and Metallica.
Anthony’s team is responsible for Pyrotek’s financial and administrative processes, tax, audit and regulatory requirements, payroll, quoting and logistics, as well as business planning and analytics. Prior to joining Pyrotek, Anthony worked in senior financial and operations roles at several private and public companies, and brings over 20 years of financial and operational experience with him to Pyrotek. Anthony is a CPA and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Western Ontario and a MBA from the University of Toronto.
Nate is based in our Las Vegas office, where he is part of our project management team. Nate comes to Pyrotek with over 27 years of touring and special effects experience with a variety of applications. Nate has extensive experience in rigging and automation as well as large and close proximity pyrotechnics. His notable contributions to Pyrotek include working with clients such as Shinedown, Excision, Lamb of God, and Grupo Firme. Nate brings innovation and collaboration to each of his projects, ensuring awe-inspiring looks for clients and audiences alike.
Angelica is Pyrotek’s Permitting and Logistics team lead based in our Toronto office. Her job is to ensure that all of our projects, big or small, are allowed to proceed as planned in every city, state, or country they are scheduled in. She also ensures that all of our gear and crew is set up for success on show site. From chasing down shipments to setting up demos with fire marshals, Angelica and her team allow us to offer truly full-service special effects applications to our clients — and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
