Jennifer Lopez:
It's My Party Tour

To celebrate her 50th birthday, the timeless Jennifer Lopez wanted one thing: to host the most memorable party on the planet.

And she didn’t disappoint. In fact, it got nominated for a People’s Choice Award.

The It’s My Party tour brought glamorous costumes, exciting choreography, extraordinary stage and lighting design, flames, pyro, lasers, balloons, and more than 1000 pounds of confetti from Los Angeles to Miami. Fans were treated to a full run of Jennifer’s musical accomplishments as well as a one-of-a-kind birthday celebration with a setlist of this talented artist’s iconic history and a duet with her daughter, Emme.

THE OFFICIAL INVITATION

Pyrotek Special Effects got the invite to Jennifer’s big party with two industry juggernauts, Silent House – Cory Fitzgerald & Alex Reardon – and Nappytabs – Napoleon and Tabitha D’Umo. Our collaboration with these esteemed partners led to even more excitement for some of the tour’s most significant numbers. These included custom “bottle service” pyro for champagne bottles in the tour’s opening sequence of “Medicine” and robust Salamander flames during “El Anillo.”

The pyro didn’t stop with the champagne bottles either, as Lopez’s entire show featured a wide assortment of looks, including mines, flashes, gerbs, and fountains. The impressive displays fit seamlessly into the spectacle, with cues even synching with Nappytabs’ captivating choreography in the performance of “Get Right.”

BRINGING THE PARTY TO
THE NEXT LEVEL

Lasers played a role in many of the show’s key moments, particularly the sultry “If You Had My Love,” a unique choreographed laser sequence that featured J-Lo moving between the beams on a chaise in the center of the stage. The high-watt lasers were also featured in the iconic “Waiting For Tonight” and matched the incredible energy of “Dance Again.”

Every great party ends with a big splash, and this one was no exception! “Let’s Get Loud” featured an overwhelming display of streamers, confetti, and pyrotechnics. We deployed 20 pounds and 32 sleeves of metallic mylar confetti and streamers into the crowd as the downstage transformed into a birthday cake worthy of royalty. The number itself seized the senses one last time before the house lights came up.

It was her party, down to every last detail, and we are thrilled we got a chance to be a part of it.
